    Welcome to SageCollins.com, my new online office. It took over 20 years to secure the real estate.
    I'd originally bought this domain in 2003 through Yahoo, or so I thought. Someone on the other side of the country snatched it from me for his surveying business weeks later. I explained the situation to them, and they offered to give the domain name back... for $10,000. I was in the software business back then making about $10 an hour.
    I followed up with a complaint to Yahoo, and they quickly sorted things out by issuing me a refund of the $10 domain fee I paid them. Not exactly the resolution I was hoping for, and one of the many reasons I try not to do business with large corporations as an employee or a customer.
    I've said it before and I'll say it again: The problem with living in the land of opportunity is you're constantly surrounded by opportunists. I'll endeavor to keep this place "strictly indie" for your benefit and mine.
